A laboratory and research microscope having a remarkably versatile range of interchangeable accessories

The research microscopist of today needs to be able to apply many different observation techniques, frequently in quick succession. His task is made much easier (and cheaper!) if instead of using several different specialised microscopes for this purpose he can use one microscope stand and rapidly change the fittings on it according to his needs.

The Wild M 20 laboratory and research microscope was based on this concept of modular design. The instrument is of superlative mechanical and optical  quality, and has a well-established reputation among advanced microscopists. lts appearance at first sight is attractive but rather conventional, disguising the fact that most of the components can be exchanged with astonishing rapidity for others. This exchangeability means that such techniques as bright field, dark field, phase contrast and interference are readily at hand, and that the images observed can be recorded with ease by means of a wide variety of attachable micro-reproduction equipment.
